Vintage conditions:
A very warm winter, particularly August, led to an early budburst. Unfortunately, a heavy frost in mid-September burnt the buds or shoots of most varieties. As a result, we were expecting a small crop from the new shoots but were very surprised to find most varieties recovered with a good quantity and even ripeness at harvest. The wines from this vintage are among the best we’ve seen.
