Touriga Nacional is a Portuguese grape variety first planted in Mudgee in 1984 by Heslop Wines.
Vintage conditions:
Good winter and spring rain followed by La Niña weather patterns resulted in a mild and sometimes wet summer but mostly dry at harvest. Although quantity was reduced by the previous drought season, quality was excellent.
